Forward Michael Graham, who helped lead Georgetown University to the NCAA basketball championship last year, is transferring to the University of the District of Columbia, the Associated Press has learned.
In answer to a reporter’s question, Georgetown Coach John Thompson said: “Michael has asked and been granted permission to talk and go to UDC.”
Graham, 21, a native of Washington, D.C., was unavailable for comment. A sophomore, the 6-foot-9 Graham was ruled academically ineligible to play for Georgetown this season.
