The City Council upheld the Planning Commission’s denial of a first- and second-story addition to a home on Nearcliff Street in the Hillside Overlay District.
Anthony and Karen Campagna had requested approval to increase the total area of their one-story house from 1,875 square feet to 3,506.
Two neighbors on the south side of Nearcliff complained that the addition would severely affect their view.
The Planning Department had said that the view would not be significantly affected and had recommended approval of the project. The Planning Commission disagreed.
