Local News in Brief : Police Hunt Killer in Sylmar Shooting
Los Angeles police are searching for a man who shot and killed a 29-year-old Pacoima resident after an argument in a Sylmar bar early Wednesday.
The victim, Jose Mauricio Lopez, was taken to Holy Cross Hospital where he died of several gunshot wounds in the upper torso after the the 12:20 a.m. shooting at 12207 San Fernando Road, said Detective Larry Tucker.
Witnesses told police an unidentified male Latin, 30 to 35 years old, shot Lopez after the two men argued, fled on foot, Tucker said.
