It has been 80 years since private schools Loyola and Harvard-Westlake last played each other in a football game. That will end Aug. 24, because the two schools have agreed to play at Los Angeles Valley College.
They have developed a nice rivalry in basketball, filling a Cal State Los Angeles arena last week for a Mission League game.
Harvard-Westlake is trying to build up its football program under recently hired Coach Scot Ruggles. The two schools last met in 1932, when Loyola won, 27-0.
