Boys’ basketball: Chaparral’s Johnson participates in camp

Chaparral junior Xavier Johnson is among a select group of top 18-and-under players participating in the Adidas Nations global grass-roots program, which runs through Monday in Chicago.

The players receive instruction from NBA players and coaches, who are acting as camp counselors. Johnson, a 6-foot-6 swingman, averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds last season for the Pumas.
