Woodland Hills Taft’s D.J. Morgan has an excuse for not being able to focus on football this month. He’s headed to Italy as a member of the U.S. team that will compete at the World Youth Championships in track and field.
The competition is set for July 8-12 in Bressanone, Italy. Morgan, a USC commit, has emerged as the best high school 110-meter hurdler in the nation.
He’s also the Toreadors’ outstanding running back, but he’ll have plenty of time to work on his football skills when he returns.
