Baseball: Orange Lutheran-Capo Valley to play Tuesday at night

Let’s salute Eric Borba, the baseball coach at Orange Lutheran who has decided he’s willing to play Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Hart Park in a second-round Southern Section Division I playoff game.

Most coaches wouldn’t dare agree to face Capistrano Valley pitcher Tyler Matzek at night. He’s hard enough to hit in the daylight. But by playing at night, Orange Lutheran is making it possible to draw a huge crowd of fans and scouts while letting everyone see one of the best Division I playoff games.
