Baseball: Montclair Prep clinches playoff berth

Trailing, 4-1, with two outs in the top of the seventh inning, Van Nuys Montclair Prep rallied for an 8-4 victory over North Hills L.A. Baptist to clinch a Southern Section Division V playoff berth despite having six sophomores and a freshman in the starting lineup.

Paul Aldape contributed the key hit in the seventh, a two-run single that tied the game. Max Fried followed with an RBI single and Josh Brodsky added a two-run double for the Mounties (14-12, 6-6) in the Olympic League game.
