Football: Nominees for 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl announced

Forty-seven of the 400 nominees for the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl hail from California. The game will be played Jan. 9 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The local nominees are offensive lineman Wade Yandall of Carson, defensive lineman George Uko of Chino Don Lugo, running back James McConico of Compton, linebacker Brandon Brown of Corona Centennial, running back Jordan James of Corona, quarterback Bryan Bennett and defensive lineman Grasu Hroniss of Crespi, running back Anthony Brown of Kaiser, wide receiver Robert Woods of Gardena Serra, defensive back Sean Parker of Narbonne, defensive back Dietrich Riley of La Canada Flintridge St. Francis, wide receiver Kevin Anderson of Lakewood, wide receiver Kaelin Clay of Long Beach Poly, wide receiver Paul Richardson of Los Alamitos, wide receiver De’Shawn Beck of L.A.
