These are strange times in the Moore League, where Long Beach Millikan improved to 6-0 on Tuesday with a 2-0 victory over Lakewood, giving the Rams six shutouts in six attempts in league play.
Millikan is 13-9 overall, which isn’t particularly impressive, but six shutout victories in any league must be respected.
The streak started with a 2-0 victory over Long Beach Poly. Then came 5-0 over Long Beach Wilson, 14-0 over Long Beach Cabrillo, 18-0 over Compton and 17-0 over Long Beach Jordan.
I’d say the pitcher of the year in league must come from Millikan.
