Baseball: West Ranch’s Thompson gets three HRs, nine RBIs

What a day it was for Mitchell Thompson of West Ranch. In a Foothill League game Friday against Golden Valley, Thompson hit three home runs, went four for four and finished with nine runs batted in during a 22-2 victory.

West Ranch improved to 8-2 overall and 4-1 in league.

In another Foothill League game, Valencia defeated Hart, 10-4. Dylan Jones homered for the Vikings (6-4, 3-2).
