Girls’ basketball: Chatsworth center selected City player of the year

Gennifer Brandon from City Section Division I championship Chatsworth has been selected the City player of the year in girls’ basketball.

Teammate Monica Jackson also made first-team All-City.

Other first-team honorees include Serenity Buie from Community Harvest, Breanna Burton and Rmanii Haynes from Taft, Candyse Farmer and Priscilla Walker from Fairfax, Shaneva Hayward and Danielle Pruitt from View Park, Taylor Holdman from LACES, Stephanie Lopez from Banning, Oliva Ochoa from Roosevelt, Dominique Scott from Palisades, Veronica Solis from Eagle Rock, Abigail Wilson from Vasquez and Sara Villanueva from Poly.
