Poly jumps to 6-0 lead in Pac-5 finale

My official prediction for tonight’s Pac-5 Division title game betwee Long Beach Poly and Crespi was that it will not be 2-0, which was the score of last week’s Poly victory over Orange Lutheran in the semifinals.

It took two plays to prove me right. Melvin Richardson peeled off a 69-yard touchdown run, but Poly missed the point-after kick when the ball hit the left upright. The Jackrabbits lead, 6-0, with Crespi coming to bat.
