Calling a coverage audible

Hey guys,

I’m just dropping in to say there has been a change of plans. Rather than covering Bryce Mahmud-McBride and the rest of the Los Altos Conquerors tonight, I’ll be covering the Maranatha-St. Margaret’s game. Nobody can criticize me now for not covering the small schools, or Pasadena, for that matter.

It should be a good one. But why, I wonder, is the game being played in San Juan Capistrano?

I know, St. Margaret’s is located in that city, but didn’t the Tartans have to move a playoff game last year because they didn’t have enough seats?

I know St. Margaret’stravels well. I’ve seen them roll into Rio Hondo Prep in limos before. And I have a feeling Maranatha will travel well for this game too. There is a potential for there being more fans than available seats.

Who knows what will happen-- on or off the field-- but as Editor Bob likes to say, ‘That’s why they play the games.’
