The decision of long-time Cal State Fullerton baseball Coach George Horton to leave for Oregon has left potential Titans wondering about the future.
Mike Montgomery, a left-handed pitcher at Hart, has Fullerton among the schools he’s considering, but UC Irvine Coach Dave Serrano figures to take advantage of Horton’s absence and make a strong bid for Montgomery.
Horton’s departure also could let USC and its new pitching coach, Tom House, make some inroads in Orange County recruiting.
