Palmdale: Chad Johnson, 19

Chad Johnson, a 19-year-old black man, was shot and killed on Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the 400 block of East Avenue Q-3 in Palmdale, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s officials.

Johnson, a resident of Lake Los Angeles, was standing outside an apartment about 9 p.m. when someone approached and shot him, said Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner’s office.

Johnson was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:12 p.m., Winter said.
