UEFA President Michel Platini has been released from a South African hospital and will attend Sunday’s World Cup final between Spain and the Netherlands.
The former France World Cup star was hospitalized overnight in Johannesburg after collapsing in a restaurant Friday.
FIFA told the Associated Press that ‘all the medical tests conducted were normal’ and that Platini left the hospital at 9 a.m. local time Saturday.
Platini’s adviser has said his boss fainted after experiencing flu-like symptoms in South Africa’s cold weather.
