USC’s 24-13 victory over Boston College in the Emerald Bowl was only a couple of minutes old when the Trojans took their first hit of the off-season.
Defensive end Everson Griffen says he’s leaving school and turning pro with a year of eligibility still on the table.
Griffen, a 6-foot-3, 280-pound junior, entered Saturday’s game with a team-leading eight sacks. He had 44 tackles, including 21 solo, and was second on the team with 9.5 tackles for losses.
