UCLA quarterback Kevin Prince, who has not been in a game in two years, showed he remembered how to play the game right away. Prince completed six of seven passes for 68 yards in the first quarter, directing a drive that ended in a field goal on the Bruins first possession.
Prince, who suffered a knee injury on the sixth play of his first game as a senior at Encino Crespi High, also showed he could take a hit. On his first play, Prince rolled out and completed a 20-yard pass to Terrence Austin. Prince was hit low by San Diego State’s Luke Laolagi. Prince bounced right back up.
