Quality Road, one of the leading contenders for Saturday’s Kentucky Derby, will not participate in the race after the 3-year-old could not train today because of a sore right foot.
Quality Road had won three of four starts, including the Florida Derby. The horse had developed a quarter crack on his right front foot last Thursday.
