The Dodgers have agreed to terms with catcher Brad Ausmus on a one-year, $1-million contract, according to baseball sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deal is pending a physical.
The contract includes $350,000 in incentives based on plate appearances.
Ausmus, who turns 40 in April, is expected to back up Russell Martin. A three-time Gold Glove winner, Ausmus hit .218 with three home runs and 21 runs batted in with the Houston Astros last season.
