Fox 11’s Rick Garcia switches to KCAL 9 and co-anchor post

Rick Garcia, theFox 11 sports reporter who departed the station Monday, switches jobs and stations tonight when he starts as a co-anchor on KCAL Channel 9’s 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts. Garcia will make his first appearence on the 10 p.m. news following tonight’s Lakers playoff game.

He joins Pat Harvey at the anchor desk and will be her first permanent co-anchor since Rick Chambers left the station at the end of last year. Sandra Mitchell, who had been co-anchoring with Harvey, will remain with the station in a yet-to-be-determined role.
