A note that a woman handed out to strikers as she crossed the picket line at Raleigh Studios in Manhattan Beach:
Dear WGA members and strikers,
I am so sorry that I am crossing your picket line. I have been crying all morning trying to figure out what to do. I was brought up in a family where we were taught never to cross a picket line--my grandparents were labor organizers. The thought never crossed my mind that you would be here picketing in front of my office. Some of my best friends, including my brother-in-law is out picketing with you.
I work in reality TV and am in total support of everything you are marching for. I am trying to do everything I can so I won’t have to cross your line in the future.
Please forgive me.
