Boxer-Fiorina Debate: Afghanistan

Barbara Boxer said she was concerned about corruption in Iraq and Afghanistan and supports bringing American troops home.

‘I think we have to make sure that everything we do with [Afghan President Hamid] Karzai and the Afghan government is transparent. I don’t believe in nation-building. I believe in nation helping,’ she said.

She supports President Obama beginning to bring the troops back in 2011. She said she supports a ‘very clear exit strategy’ and that ‘America not have an open checkbook.’
