Doyle McManus strikes a nerve with readers in his Thursday column analyzing Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) budget proposal. What McManus likes about Ryan’s plan is that it makes a basic choice clear for cutting the deficit. What he doesn’t like: It’s one-sided, lacks specifics and wouldn’t increase any taxes.
