Breakdown: The Pirates, ranked No. 16 the state, have won seven of their last eight regular-season games, including their final three last season, en route to a 7-4 record and the program’s first bowl berth since 2006 … The Huskies, under first-year coach Bobby Godinez, were 2-8 last season, have lost seven straight, and were 8-22 the last three seasons … Godinez, 33, was a defensive back at San Jose State who has been an assistant at Victor Valley, Mt.
