High School Roundup: CdM girls’ soccer improves to 6-0

LOMPOC — Senior Taylor Rosen scored three goals for the Sea Kings in Friday’s Sunny Hills tournament game on the road.
Megan Chelf had two goals and two assists for CdM (6-0), and Trinity Rodman also scored. Elizabeth Gessford, Leah Givant and Sara Neiger all had one assist each.
CdM plays at Oxnard in a key nonleague game Saturday at 11 a.m. Oxnard won the CIF Southern Section Division 5 title last year.
BOYS’ SOCCER
Corona del Mar 2, El Toro 1
Sophomore Matt Katz scored the game-winner for the Sea Kings in a nonleague game at CdM on Friday.
Grant Joyce scored a goal and provided an assist. Joyce’s goal off an assist from junior Niko Urban gave the Sea Kings (4-1-2) a 1-0 lead.
Santiago 1, Estancia 0
Santiago scored with 10 minutes left in the nonleague game on Friday.
Estancia (2-2-1) will play host to Marina on Monday at 5 p.m.
