JC Football: Chaffey tops Golden West
RANCHO CUCAMONGA – The visiting Rustlers trailed, 21-3, after three quarters and dropped a 24-16 nonconference verdict on Saturday at Chaffey College.
Rustlers quarterback Adam Carr completed 24 of 37 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns, without an interception, while Sheldon White had eight receptions for 92 yards and one touchdown for Golden West (1-2).
The Panthers (1-2) were outgained, 362-237, but found a way to win.
Gabe Ford and LaVonte Tolliver each had 57 rushing yards for the Rustlers, for whom freshman safety Manase Time had a team-best nine tackles.
Golden West plays host to Cerritos on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Orange Coast College.
