Boys’ Water Polo: Rodosky, Moran-Flores earn PCL’s top awards
Corona del Mar High senior Will Rodosky earned Pacific Coast League MVP honors in boys’ water polo, while senior goalie Matt Moran-Flores was named the league’s Most Outstanding Goalie.
Rodosky and Moran-Flores are joined by senior teammates Tamir Avital and Will Ueberroth on the all-league first team.
Rodosky, a co-captain, was second on CdM with 50 goals, adding a team-best 62 assists and 22 steals. He helped CdM (21-8) win another league title and advance to the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs, where the Sea Kings lost to eventual champion Orange Lutheran.
Moran-Flores made 186 saves for CdM.
Avital, a co-captain and center, led the Sea Kings with 70 goals. Ueberroth put in 24 goals, adding 27 assists and 28 steals.
CdM senior defender TJ Morton earned second-team all-league status, while junior Mitchell Cooper was an honorable mention selection.
