Newport Harbor senior Haley Datt claimed the girls’ tournament title in the 111-pound division by pinning each of her three opponents at Esperanza High on Saturday.

Newport Harbor’s Drew Dobbs won the 195-pound title in the tourament at Brea Olinda Hgh on Saturday.

Newport Harbor’s Erik Herrez finished third at 132 points.

DJ Dennison was fourth at 182, David Santos sixth at 195, Valdemar Gomez seventh at 285 and Ethan Zimmerman eighth at 152.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Newport Harbor 58, Garey 42

Charlie Stassel led the host Sailors with 32 points, including six three-pointers, and added 10 rebounds and four steals on Saturday.

Newport Harbor (9-2) plays in the North South Challenge against Irvine on Monday at El Toro High at 12:30 p.m.

Costa Mesa 5, Crean Lutheran 1

IRVINE — Daniel Vargas had two goals to lead the Mustangs in the nonleague game Friday at the OC Great Park.

Rafael Dominguez, Luis Anaya and Jeyson Calderon also scored for the winners (3-4-1).

Anaya had a pair of assists, while Dominguez and Benjamin Perez added assists.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Corona del Mar 50, Tesoro 33

SANTA ANA — Kelly Tan paced the Sea Kings with 18 points, including five three-pointers, in the fifth-place game of the Segerstrom tournament on Saturday.

Natalia Breuning had 14 points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots and was named to the all-tournament team.

Krista Anderson had eight points and 10 rebounds for the winners (7-2).

CdM plays at the Ayala Best of the West Tournament against Fontana Kaiser on Dec. 28.

Finley Garnett scored 29 to lead the Eagles in the nonleague home game on Saturday.

Maya Van Den Heeer had 12 and 11 assists.

Nefertiti Van Den Heever added six points, 12 assists and nine rebounds.
