SANTA ANA – Sophomore Sydnee Busby scored four goals, including three during a four-minute span early in the second half, to propel the visiting Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference game Tuesday.

Busby leads the OEC with 14 goals.

Lupe Rodriguez and Jordan Moore also had goals for OCC (7-3-2, 4-2-1 in conference).

Santa Ana is 5-5-2, 1-4-2.

UC Irvine 2, UC Riverside 0

RIVERSIDE – Freshman goalkeeper Maddie Newsom made four saves to earn her sixth shutout of the season in the Big West Conference game Sunday at UC Riverside.

Sammie James scored in the ninth minute and Lili Andino added insurance in the 41st minute to pace the Anteaters (9-4-1, 1-0-1 in conference).

Noel Baham and Grayson Galbraith had assists for the winners.

UC Riverside, which posted a 9-7 shot advantage, is 3-7-3, 0-2.
