Matsuoka wins international tournament

PALM SPRINGS GARDENS, Fla. — Amy Matsuoka, a recent Corona del Mar High graduate, won the Optimist International Junior Golf Championship in the 15-18 girls’ division on Thursday.

The Oregon-bound Matsuoka shared first with Ana La Collado Diaz of Mexico, as both shot one-over-par 289 after four rounds. Matsuoka won in a sudden-death playoff.
