Toshiba Classic seeks 900 volunteers

The Toshiba Classic is looking for 900 volunteers for the 22nd edition of the Champions Tour tournament at Newport Beach Country Club on Oct. 5-9.

The volunteers will work as on-course marshals, standard bearers, in ticket sales and admissions, and other areas of tournament services. Volunteers will be trained and no golf experience is necessary.

“We owe much of the tournament’s success to our hard-working and friendly volunteers who have helped make this event one of the must-attend events by PGA Champions Tour players,” said Jeff Purser, the executive director of the Toshiba Classic, in a press release. “They provide an immeasurable contribution to the event and truly serve as ambassadors for our sponsors and the Newport Beach community.”

The volunteer package is $50 per person. The package includes a golf shirt, a choice of a unisex hat or women’s visor, and a volunteer credential package.

Volunteers receive two good-any-one-day tickets and volunteers must be 18 years old by Oct. 3, 2016.
