Jake McIntyre was four for four with four runs batted in, Trevor Brown was three for four with two RBIs and Connor Brown pitched a complete game Tuesday as the host Eagles defeated Godinez, 10-5, to clinch the Orange Coast League’s third guaranteed berth into the CIF Southern Section Division 4 playoffs.
Colin Gardner was two for four with two RBIs and Jeff Alai went two for three with one RBI for the winners (17-11, 8-6 in league).

Senior Tommy Paoletti threw a complete-game five-hitter to lead the visiting Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Tuesday.
Paoletti’s second shutout and third complete game pared his earned-run average to 0.71.
Nick Premer homered, Brenden Heuston had two hits and Robby Hurst had an RBI double for CdM (20-4, 10-4 in league).
CdM is tied for second with Beckman, one game behind Woodbridge, with one game left.
CdM plays host to Irvine on Thursday at 3:15 p.m.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Jeremiah Sheldon earned the complete-game victory and Cade Seabold went three for four with two doubles to lead the visiting Sailors in the Sunset League game Tuesday.
Max Crabbe was two for three with one run batted in and Josh Spicer had two RBIs for the Tars (11-14, 6-8 in league).

Senior Sam Kobrine had 18 kills to pace the host Sea Kings to a 25-16, 25-15, 25-19 triumph in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs on Tuesday.
Matt Ctvrtlik had 45 assists, Patrick Paragas had 15 digs and Mitch Haly added 10 kills for the winners (24-5), who face either Santa Barbara or Redondo Union in Thursday’s second round.

The host Sailors earned a 25-19, 25-13, 25-18 sweep in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs on Tuesday.
Cole Pender had 12 kills to lead the Sailors (22-7), who advance to meet either Beckman or Alemany in the second round on Thursday.
