Freshman Ellery Amdor had a team-high three goals as well as three caused turnovers for the Sea Kings in Wednesday’s Pacific Coast League game at CdM.
Kennedy Mulvaney, Caroline Bethel and Kennedy McGuinness all scored twice for CdM (3-1, 2-0 in league).
Joslyn Simaan had four caused turnovers and Ashley Olson made five saves for the Sea Kings, who play host to Los Alamitos in a key nonleague game Monday. CdM lost to the Griffins last year in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section South Division playoffs.

Brandon Browning, Kevin Kobrine, Clay Dickinson and Jake Meyer posted six kills each to lead the Sea Kings to a 25-8, 25-20, 25-15 Pacific Coast League-opening sweep on Wednesday.
CdM is 11-3, 1-0 in league.

Costa Mesa 87, Calvary Chapel 60
Augustus Cunningham won twice for the Mustangs in Wednesday’s Orange Coast League-opening win at Costa Mesa High.
Cunningham won the 200-yard freestyle in 1 minunte, 52.70 seconds. He also won the 500 free, in 5:04.92. Jacob Petersen won the 50 free for Mesa, in 23.62 seconds, while Anthony Shin captured the 100 free in 52.23.
Caleb Fleener won the backstroke in 1:09.71 and Nick Ly won the breaststroke in 1:08.44 for the Mustangs.

Jason Chesemore, Cobi White and Kent Lim won two events for the Eagles in their Orange Coast League opener on Wednesday.
Chesemore won the 200 free and 100 fly, White the 200 IM and 100 breast and Lim the 50 and 100 free.
Victor Godfrey won the 100 breaststroke for Estancia (4-2, 1-0 in league).
The Eagles next compete against rival Costa Mesa in the Mustangs’ pool on March 30.

Cialee Enslow won the 200-yard individual medley for the Mustangs in Wednesday’s Orange Coast League opener at Costa Mesa High.
Enslow touched in 2 minutes, 41.45 seconds. Karlee Kistler won the 100 butterfly in 1:18.79 for the Mustangs, and Kendra Ferguson won the 100 backstroke in 1:12.40.
