STANFORD — No. 10-ranked UC Irvine lost to No. 6 Michigan, 6-3, in the third-place game on Sunday.

Earlier Sunday, UCI defeated No. 12-ranked Pacific in pool play, 11-6, as Destene Albers and Emily Carlson had two goals apiece and Jenna Phreaner made seven saves.

UCI is 3-3.

Doubleheader

TORRANCE — Orange Coast College dropped a pair of games on Tuesday at El Camino College, falling to the host Warriors, 10-1, and dropping an 11-8 decision to Santa Barbara in eight innings.

Christina Freeman was one for three with one run batted to pace OCC’s five-hit attack against El Camino.

No statistics were available for the Santa Barbara game.

OCC is 1-4.
