Lexina McDowell, Delani Guyot and Daniela Serpa all scored goals for the Eagles in their Orange Coast League opener Thursday night at Jim Scott Stadium.
Estancia Coach Josh Juarez said it was Estancia’s best game of the season. The Eagles, ranked No. 6 in CIF Southern Section Division 5, improved to 7-3-2, 1-0 in league.
Estancia plays Calvary Chapel on Tuesday at Centennial Park in a key game. The teams shared the league title last season.

SANTA ANA — The Mustangs fell in their Orange Coast League opener Thursday at Centennial Park.
Costa Mesa (2-10, 0-1 in league) plays at Laguna Beach on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Corona del Mar 2, Woodbridge 0
IRVINE — Kyle Mabwa and Will O’Connor each scored a goal for the Sea Kings in a Pacific Coast League opener at Irvine High on Thursday.
The match was moved from CdM (9-1-1 overall) because of the rain.
Goalkeeper Koen Ebbinga and Christopher Bartolic combined for their sixth shutout in 10 matches.
Jed Malley and Jack Tomei had assists for CdM.
The Sea Kings play at Beckman on Tuesday at 3:15 p.m.

Estancia 50, Saddleback 21
SANTA ANA — Finley Garnett had 13 points for the Eagles in their Orange Coast League opener Thursday night on the road.
Nefertiti Van Den Heever had six points, and Maya Van Den Heever added five points and nine assists for the Eagles. Estefania Flores also scored six points.
Estancia (10-6, 1-0 in league) plays host to Los Amigos in a nonleague game Saturday at 7 p.m.

Newport Harbor 44, Fountain Valley 39
McKenna Izzi had 11 points for the Sailors in Thursday’s Sunset League opener at Newport Harbor High.
Angelina Alvarez scored 10 for Newport Harbor, and Lisa Hamilton had nine points and 23 rebounds.
The league win was the Sailors’ second since 2011.
The Sailors (4-10, 1-0 in league) play host to Huntington Beach on Tuesday.
