Families, friends, teachers and administrators descended on Orange Coast College’s LeBard Stadium to help 509 graduates of Newport Harbor High School start their future Thursday afternoon at the school’s commencement ceremony.

The festivities featured speeches by students Madison Fernandez and Kabele Cook.
