Police: Patron flashes a gun outside Goat Hill Tavern during an argument
Police are looking for a man who brandished a handgun during an argument with another patron outside Goat Hill Tavern in Costa Mesa on Friday night, police said.
The two were arguing about a woman in an area behind the bar at 1830 Newport Blvd. around 10:30 p.m. when the disagreement escalated, Costa Mesa police Sgt. Matt Selinske said.
A man who was in his car pulled a Glock pistol out of the glove compartment and displayed it in a threatening manner, according to police. He then drove off southbound on Newport Boulevard.
Police described the man as Asian, with tattoos on both arms. He reportedly was driving a silver Toyota Corolla, possibly with a racing spoiler, police said.
