Newport Beach boating enthusiasts will see a few more luxury yachts floating in Newport Harbor this week.
The 43rd annual Newport Boat Show will showcase more than 200 pleasure boats — including new models and ocean-tested yachts with various amenities — when it kicks off Thursday at Lido Marina Village.
The annual show is expected to draw avid boaters, some looking to purchase a shiny new yacht or replace an aging one, and others checking out the latest in boating technology and accessories. Visitors will be able to step aboard some of the most sought-after yachts as well as peruse exhibits showcasing boating products and services.
The show runs through Sunday.
Among the notable boats scheduled:
• Everglades 360LXC: The luxury cruising model, which will make its West Coast debut, boasts a 100-square-foot lounging area that can serve as a dining area or a sun bed. The boat sleeps five or six and has a redesigned helm that features an ergonomic captain-and-companion seating area. The vessel is one of four of its kind in the United States.
• Pershing 62: The boat features a streamlined profile that continues inside the cabin with a full beam master cabin positioned for optimal light. The VIP cabin in the bow has a double window with a porthole designed to enhance natural light.
