A Costa Mesa man was arrested Saturday night at the Sea Breeze Villas mobile home park on suspicion of firing a handgun into the ground and occupied homes.
Costa Mesa police responded to reports of gunshots at the mobile home park in the 100 block of East 16th Street shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday.
Officers searched two homes and found spent shell casings in one of them, police Lt. Greg Scott said.
According to Scott, Ezekiel Peralta, 31, apparently had been arguing with an unidentified person before he went outside and began firing a handgun, hitting the ground and surrounding homes. No injuries were reported.
Police arrested Peralta on suspicion of shooting into an inhabited dwelling.
