Biz News: Saywitz Co. closes on leases in Costa Mesa, Newport Beach

Newport Beach-based Saywitz Co. recently closed on two leases for companies locating to the Newport-Mesa area, according to media reports.

Carillon Office Technologies has a five-year lease for space at 11675 Scenic Ave. in Costa Mesa.

Meritage Homes, an Arizona-based real estate development company, secured space at 1401 Dove St. in Newport Beach.

Company buys Mariner’s Mile properties

The Khoshbin Co., based in Irvine, acquired three retail properties in Newport Beach’s Mariner’s Mile for $28.9 million, according to a news release.

The properties at 2751 and 2801 Coast Hwy. and 2620 Avon St., respectively, consist of 29,341 square feet and contain a marina. The tenants are Billy’s at the Beach and The Ritz restaurant.

New real estate firm opens in Costa Mesa

Alex Mogharebi, a commercial real estate broker, has opened a new multifamily investment sales, financing and advisory services firm, the Mogharebi Group, according to a news release.

The firm is based in Costa Mesa’s South Coast Metro district, at 575 Anton Boulevard, Suite 560.

The business is also partnering with Chicago-based Cohen Financial and its parent company, Pillar Financial.
