Rough going for U.S. team at Volo Cup

USA Water Polo Men’s Senior National Team posted an 0-3 record at the Volo Cup which concluded Sunday at Szolnok, Hungary. Team USA dropped games to Serbia, Germany and Hungary in a tournament that started Friday .

In Sunday’s game against Hungary, Nolan McConnell (Laguna Beach/Long Beach State) scored once in Team USA’s in a 12-5 loss to the host team. McConnell also scored once in Team USA’s 20-11, tournament-opening loss Feb. 7 to Serbia.

Team USA dropped its second tourney game, 20-12, Saturday to Germany.
