GLENDALE — The Pirates won for the second staight night on Friday to advance to Saturday’s 5 p.m. title game of the Glendale tournament against the host Vaqueros.
OCC (5-8), defeated Los Angeles Southwest, 70-64, on Friday.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
San Diego 79, UC Irvine 55
SAN DIEGO — Senior guard Jennifer Tsurumoto had 18 points to lead the visiting Anteaters in the nonconference game Friday.
San Diego (11-0) won the rebounding battle, 51-22, and shot 52.5% from the field (32 for 61).
UCI, which forced 23 turnovers, four more than it committed, shot just 33.3% from the field and had a season-low four three-pointers (in 14 attempts for a 28.6% proficiency rate).
Tsurumoto was two for three from three-point range and made eight of 12 foul shots.
Senior Camille Buckley had eight points and two rebounds for UCI (6-6), which returns to action Dec. 30 at Washington.
