Lauren Smith had eight goals and five steals for the Mustangs in Tuesday’s nonleague victory at home.
Bridgette Smitheram and Melissa Folkerts each had two goals for Costa Mesa (5-6). Antonia Velasquez made seve saves.
The Mustangs open play in the Lil’ Pickle Classic tournament at home Thursday at 4 p.m., against Etiwanda.

Garden Grove 59, Estancia 48
CYPRESS — Senior Josh Mendoza had 20 points and junior Caena McReynolds added 12 for the Eagles in consolation play at the Oxford Academy tournament on Tuesday at Oxford Academy.
Estancia lost to Bishop Amat, 62-36, Monday, when McReynolds scored 11 points and Martin Harry finished with 10.
Estancia (3-5) returns to action on Thursday against either Segerstrom or Los Amigos.

CYPRESS — Junior Garrett Davis scored 16 points for the Sailors in the Oxford Academy tournament Monday.
Caleb O’Neal added 12 points for Newport Harbor (4-3), which plays in the quarterfianls against Cypress Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

GARDEN GROVE — Senior Jorge Mendoza scored twice in the Eagles’ nonleague match Monday.
Sophomore Kevin Pizarro contributed a goal and two assists, while sophomore Chris Moya had a goal and assist. Senior Abraham Cortez had an assist for Estancia (4-1)
Junior goalie Enrique Valle made five saves for the Eagles, who play host to Corona del Mar Wednesday at 5 p.m.
