CORONA — Orange Coast College freshman Michael Chen shot seven-over-par 79 to earn medalist honors to help the Pirates top the eight-team field at Green River Golf Club on Wednesday.

OCC’s team score was 363, two shots better than runner-up Palomar.

The win clinches the regular-season Orange Empire Conference crown for OCC.

RIVERSIDE — Five Anteaters won in singles and doubles in the Big West Conference match Wednesday at Andulka Park.

UCI swept the doubles competition and saw Reo Asami rally for an 0-6, 6-3, 6-3 triumph at No. 2 singles.

UCI improves to 7-16, 3-1 in conference.

The Highlanders are now 3-18, 0-4.
