COSTA MESA — The Eagles’ No. 2 doubles team of Charlie Griffen and David Doran led the way in an Orange Coast League opener at Estancia on Tuesday.
Griffen and Doran, both sophomores, won, 6-2, 6-1, 6-0.
Costa Mesa’s top singles player, Max Nguyen, won his three sets, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2.
Estancia (8-1 overall) plays at Edison on Wednesday at Edison at 3 p.m.

NEWPORT BEACH — Reese Stalder swept at No. 1 singles for the Sailors in the nonleague match Monday.

IRVINE — Senior Kent Kawaguchi, a setter and outside hitter, recorded 15 digs, nine kills, five blocks and two service aces for the Lightning in a nonleague match Woodbridge won, 25-18, 21-25, 28-26, 25-14, on Tuesday.
Kyle Jaffe contributed 15 digs and Nicky Boulos had 16 digs for Sage Hill (0-3).
The Lightning compete in the Orange County Championship tournament on Friday at Edison High.
