RIVERSIDE — Junior Jennifer Tsurumoto hit a pair of free throws with 2.8 seconds remaining to give the Anteaters the Big West Conference win Thursday.
Tsurumoto had a game-high 20 points, including 13 in the second half.
Forward Camille Buckely recorded her 10th double-double of the season with 15 points and 14 rebounds for UCI (7-17, 3-9 in conference). Freshman Mokun Fajemisin added eight points, while junior Kelly Meggs had five points for the Anteaters.
UC Riverside is 11-11, 4-7.
The Anteaters will play host to Cal State Fullerton Saturday at 5 p.m. in the Bren Events Center in the first game of a doubleheader with the men’s team, who will battle the Titans at 8 p.m.

BASEBALL
Orange Coast 17, Desert 5
COSTA MESA — Sophomore center fielder Zach Nehrir drove in seven runs and came up a single shy of hitting for the cycle to lead the host Pirates in the nonconference game Thursday.
Nehrir homered, tripled and doubled to pace an 18-hit attack for OCC (7-2), which scored six in the second to erase a 2-0 deficit and never trailed again.
Greg Espinoza had two runs batted in and joined Ricky Navarro, Christian Fillingame, Cody Bruder and Jake Toll-McKillop with two-hit games for OCC, which had eight players with at least one RBI.
OCC sophomore starter Dallas Draviczki allowed two earned runs in five innings to improve to 2-0.
Desert is 2-6.

MEN’S TENNIS
Cerritos 6, Orange Coast 3
COSTA MESA — No. 4 singles player Chad Meyer (6-2, 4-6, 10-4) and No. 6 singles player Dillon Nguyen (6-2, 7-6) earned wins for the Pirates in the nonconference match Thursday.
Nguyen and Andrew Pham won at No. 3 doubles, 8-2, for OCC (3-2).
