HUNTINGTON BEACH — Halland Mckenna had 14 kills and four aces and nine digs to help lead the Lightning to a 25-10, 25-13, 25-19 Academy League win Friday.
Kekai Whitford had five kills and three aces, while setter Maddy Abbott had 30 assists and four aces for Sage Hill (12-4, 4-1 in league), ranked No. 2 in CIF Southern Section Division 3-A.
The Lightning play host to Crean Lutheran Tuesday at 5 p.m.

TORREY PINES — Corona del Mar won three matches in pool play Friday.
The Sea Kings (16-4) opened with a 22-25, 25-11, 25-11 win over Huntington Beach. They then beat Patrick Henry , 25-17, 25-17. CdM ended the day with a 25-17, 25-16 win over Poway.
The Sea Kings continue play in the 32-team tournament Saturday.

BOYS’ & GIRLS’ CROSS COUNTRY
The Orange County Championships take place at Irvine Regional Park in Orange Saturday morning.
Paige Tennison leads the Newport Harbor High girls’ team in the sweepstakes race that is scheduled to begin at 9:31 a.m.
The Corona del Mar boys compete in the sweepstakes race at 10:10 a.m.
Costa Mesa, Estancia, Newport Harbor and Sage Hill will be running in the boys’ varsity Division 3 race at 9:19 a.m. The CdM girls are in the Division 2 race at 9:55 a.m.
Estancia and Sage Hill are in the girls’ varsity Division 3 race at 10:22 a.m.

CYPRESS — Liana Korber swept in singles and the doubles team of Kimberly Brown and Molly Wang also swept for the Lightning in the Academy League match Friday.
Celine Wang and Kimia Valkili won one set each in singles, while Lauren Hsu and Jaclyn Gerschultz won twice in doubles for Sage Hill (5-6, 5-0 in league).
