IRVINE — Newport Harbor advanced to the semifinals after beating Miramonte, 13-6, in a quarterfinal at Woollett Aquatic Center Friday.

The Sailors (11-2) will play against Sacred Heart at 3:45 p.m. against Woollett. Curtis Fink and Preston Lee led Newport Harbor, scoring three goals each. Dan Stevens, Andrew Silvers and Mitchell Mendoza had two goals each.

The Sailors opened with a 13-2 win over Clovis West.

Los Alamitos and Long Beach Wilson play in the other semifinal at 2:40 p.m. The championship match is at 8:05 p.m. and the third-place game is at 7.

IRVINE — Corona del Mar fell to Sacred Heart, 10-8, in the quarterfinals of the 16-team tournament at Woollett Aquatic Center Friday.

Jake Wyatt, Reid Chase and Danny Marshall scored two goals each. Goalie Patrick McKenzie had nine saves and one steal for CdM (8-4), which plays in the fifth-place semifinal Saturday at 1:35 p.m.

The Sea Kings beat Davis, 16-4 in the first round. Matt Sherburne and Blake Motal scored three goals each. Richie Barden, Kyle Trush, Chase and Marshall had two goals each, while McKenzie had five saves, one steal and one assist.
